D. Payment Information
Payments may be processed through Stripe or another third-party payment processor.
We do not intend to directly store full credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or complete payment credentials. Payment processors may collect and process payment information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
We may receive limited payment-related information, such as: billing name, billing address, subscription status, payment status, last four digits of a payment card, payment method type, transaction IDs, and invoice history.
E. Communications Information
We may collect information related to communications sent to or from the platform, including: email activity, text/SMS activity, notification activity, message content, sender and recipient information, delivery status, communication preferences, and support communications.
Customers are responsible for obtaining any required consent before sending emails, text messages, or other communications through the platform.
F. Technical and Usage Information

G. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, pixels, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies to operate the website and platform, remember preferences, improve performance, analyze usage, support security, and improve our services.
2. How We Use Information
We may use information to: provide, operate, and maintain the platform; create and manage accounts; authenticate users; process subscriptions and payments; provide customer support; send administrative notices; send service-related communications; enable platform features and workflows; store and process Customer Data; improve, test, and develop the platform; monitor performance and security; detect fraud, abuse, misuse, or unauthorized access; troubleshoot errors and technical issues; enforce agreements and policies; comply with legal obligations; protect TradeRanger, customers, users, and third parties; and create aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data for analytics, benchmarking, reporting, product improvement, and business insights.
3. Customer Data
Customers own their Customer Data.
We process Customer Data to provide the platform and related services to the customer.
Customers are responsible for: the accuracy and legality of Customer Data; obtaining required notices, permissions, and consents; managing user access and permissions; deciding what information to upload; and complying with laws that apply to their business, employees, customers, vendors, and communications.
TradeRanger is not responsible for the customer's employment, HR, payroll, tax, accounting, legal, safety, or business compliance obligations.
4. Aggregated and Anonymized Data
We may use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information for: analytics, benchmarking, industry insights, product development, research, reporting, security, business planning, and improving the platform.
We will not intentionally use aggregated or anonymized data in a way that identifies a specific customer, user, employee, or end customer.
5. How We Share Information
We may share information with:
A. Service Providers. We may share information with third-party providers who help us operate the business and platform, including: hosting providers, cloud infrastructure providers, payment processors, email providers, text/SMS providers, analytics providers, support tools, security tools, data storage providers, professional advisors, and software vendors. These providers may access information only as needed to provide services to us.
B. Customer Account Administrators. Customer account owners, administrators, and authorized users may access information within the customer's account based on permission settings. Customers are responsible for managing user permissions and access.
C. Legal and Compliance Purposes. We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to: comply with law; respond to lawful requests; enforce our agreements; protect rights, safety, security, and property; detect or prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats; resolve disputes; and protect TradeRanger, customers, users, or third parties.
D. Business Transfers. We may disclose or transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, or similar transaction.
E. With Customer Direction or Consent. We may share information when directed, authorized, or approved by the customer or user.
6. Third-Party Services
The platform may connect to or rely on third-party services, including Stripe, email providers, text/SMS providers, hosting providers, analytics tools, accounting systems, or other integrations.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, availability, or content of third-party services.
7. Third-Party Accounting Integrations (QuickBooks Online)
TradeRanger offers an optional integration with QuickBooks Online, provided by Intuit Inc. If a customer connects their QuickBooks Online account, TradeRanger accesses and exchanges certain accounting data through Intuit's authorized APIs — such as the chart of accounts, items, classes, customers, invoices, and related financial records — solely to enable and operate the integration the customer has requested.
We use this data only to provide that integration and related features to the customer. We do not sell QuickBooks data, use it for advertising, or use it for any purpose the customer has not authorized. Access is established through Intuit's secure OAuth authorization, and the customer may disconnect the integration at any time, which revokes TradeRanger's ongoing access.
Data obtained through the integration is stored and protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy and remains subject to Intuit's own terms and privacy policy with respect to Intuit's processing.
8. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information.
However, no system, network, software, or storage method is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, data loss, cyberattack, breach, interruption, or misuse will never occur.
Customers are responsible for: using strong passwords, protecting credentials, managing user permissions, removing users who no longer need access, training their employees, maintaining appropriate internal policies, and reviewing activity within their account.
9. Data Retention
We may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to: provide the platform; maintain customer accounts; comply with legal obligations; resolve disputes; enforce agreements; maintain backups; support security; improve the platform; and conduct legitimate business operations.
After cancellation or termination, we may delete, archive, anonymize, or retain information according to our policies, technical capabilities, backup cycles, legal obligations, and legitimate business needs.
10. Data Export and Deletion Requests
Customers may request export or deletion of Customer Data, subject to: account status, technical limitations, backup cycles, legal obligations, security requirements, dispute preservation, payment obligations, and our data retention policies.
Users who work for a customer should direct requests regarding their information to their employer or the customer account administrator.
11. Email and Text Communications
We may send service-related emails, account notices, billing messages, support communications, security alerts, and administrative messages.
Customers may use the platform to send emails, text messages, or notifications to employees, customers, or others.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all communications sent through the platform comply with applicable laws, consent requirements, opt-out requirements, and internal policies.
12. Children's Privacy
TradeRanger is a business platform and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. International Users
TradeRanger is operated from the United States. If information is accessed from outside the United States, it may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their use of the platform complies with any international privacy or data transfer laws that apply to them.
14. Privacy Choices
Depending on the context, users may be able to: update account information; change communication preferences; request access to certain information; request correction of certain information; request deletion of certain information; and contact the customer account administrator for employment or HR-related data.
Some requests may need to be handled by the customer because TradeRanger processes much of the information on behalf of the customer.
15. Your State Privacy Rights
Depending on where they live and the laws that apply, individuals may have rights regarding personal information, such as the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information, and the right to know how their information is used and shared.
Because TradeRanger primarily processes personal information on behalf of its business customers, individuals who are employees, users, or contacts of a customer should direct requests to that customer, who acts as the controller of that information. Where TradeRanger is responsible for responding, individuals may contact us at privacy@traderangerapp.com, and we will respond consistent with applicable law.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will use reasonable efforts to provide notice through the website, platform, email, or other reasonable method.
Continued use of the platform after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means the updated policy applies.
